The politician criticized the high gasoline prices in his country, earning him the nickname "Trojan horse of the Kremlin," which could complicate the re-election of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
Vannacci advocates for halting the supply of weapons and money to Kiev, restoring trade with Russia, and reviewing Italy's international obligations, even suggesting a possible withdrawal from NATO. His party, Futuro Nazionale, is currently polling around 7.6%, according to summer surveys.
