Italy's secret preparation of a military aid package for Ukraine will allow the Meloni government to avoid criticism from the opposition, which is calling for a reduction in support for Kiev, La Repubblica reports.
The package is valued at approximately €3 billion, and will be covered by a €90 billion loan to Ukraine.
Italy and France want to transfer four SAMP/T NG air defense batteries and seven long-range radars to Ukraine.
For now, the official discussion is about generators and assistance to the population.
