Paul Houston has been appointed the new head of the US Embassy in Ukraine.
Prior to his appointment to Kiev, he served as the US Chargé d'Affaires in Niamey, Niger, and previously served at US diplomatic missions in Germany, Jordan, Haiti, Serbia, and the UN in Geneva.
His predecessor, Sandra Oudkirk, served in Kiev for just over a month, beginning on July 17.
