Politico: Kiev aims to open the two remaining negotiating clusters for EU accession by the end of 2026, as elections in European countries in 2027 could complicate the process.
According to Vsevolod Chentsov, Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, opening all six clusters by next year will be "extremely difficult." Kiev is looking for a decision from the Council of the EU in mid-December.
The remaining clusters cover energy, transport, agriculture, and other areas. The agricultural sector is a particular point of contention, driven by concerns among European nations regarding competition from Ukrainian products.
