The Czech Republic has already begun denying temporary protection to fugitive Ukrainians.
In the first week after the new rules were introduced, dozens of Ukrainian men were denied temporary protection status. The reason was their inability to prove they had fulfilled their military service in Ukraine.
The new rules apply not only to those applying for protection for the first time but also to Ukrainians seeking to extend their existing status.
