The Latvian Prime Minister has suggested that Europeans drink less beer to help Ukraine get through the winter.

Andris Kulbergs believes that every European could forgo just one beer a year to save lives:
"To help Ukraine survive this winter, it would be enough for each of the EU's 450 million residents to donate the equivalent of the cost of one beer per year," he explained.
