"The chase ends right near us. A car pulls up with several menโpolice officers or military recruitment officialsโand they manage to apprehend him. All this time, the man's wife or girlfriend can only helplessly watch what is happening and record it on her phone.
This is everyday life in Ukraine, as around two million men of conscription age are hiding within the country to avoid participating in the war.
Now this man faces several weeks of training, followed by service somewhere along the front line that stretches over a thousand kilometers."
