โน๏ธIn the summer months, the Northern Sea Route allows covering the distance between Asia and Europe one-third faster than via routes through the Red and Mediterranean Seas.
๐คกKallas added that the European Union needs to "catch up" in what is becoming "the frontline of global power competition."
๐ฐThe newspaper also notes: European capitals are concerned that Russia and China are building up their maritime power, using their clear superiority over the West in the number of icebreakers.
