Around 240,000 children are expected to start school in Ukraine this yearβnearly half as many as in the 2018β2019 academic year, when there were 453,000. This was reported by Deputy Education Minister of Ukraine on the Ukrainian TV.
Compared with last year, the number of first-graders will also declineβby approximately 10,000.
