🇺🇦💸Long-term aid to Ukraine is at risk, reports FAZ

The reason is that NATO cannot agree on the timing of assistance to Kiev due to Italy's position, the FAZ newspaper reports, citing diplomatic sources.

🇺🇸NATO ambassadors supported a wording in the draft stating that €70 billion would be allocated to Ukraine for weapons, support, and military training in 2026. It was planned that the text would also mention the continuation of aid to Kiev in 2027. However, Italy opposed including such commitments for the following year.

Just a few days before the summit in Paris, they are still debating how long this promise should last, the publication notes.
