๐Ÿ”˜NYT: Ukraine could face its harshest winter of the conflict because of Russian strikes on energy infrastructure

Citing Ukrainian sources, the newspaper reports that Russia allegedly plans to use more powerful weapons to disable the countryโ€™s energy system.

Ukraine is anticipating strikes involving up to 1,000 missiles, drones and aerial bombs. The targets could reportedly include electrical substations, hydroelectric and thermal power plants, and boiler houses.

Kiev, Kharkov and Odessa are named as priority targets in the alleged plan. The strikes are said to be intended to cut electricity supplies to these cities by 90%.
