✝️Patriarch Kirill led a prayer service before the uncovered relics of Saint Dmitry Donskoy:

🔘The presence of Dmitry Donskoy’s relics was confirmed during restoration work in the Archangel Cathedral of the Kremlin;

🔘The cathedral’s brick burial monuments in the crypt near the southern wall were dismantled. Afterward, restorers discovered three solid white-stone sarcophagi belonging to the burials of Saint Dmitry Donskoy;

🔘Specialists found that the lid of Dmitry Donskoy’s sarcophagus had two transverse cracks, and that the central section could have collapsed inside the sarcophagus;

🔘The museum’s custodians received a blessing to carry out emergency restoration work;

🔘A combination of historical evidence, the archaeological features of the burial, and the results of anthropological research confirmed the authenticity of the relics of Saint Dmitry Donskoy;

🔘By the blessing of Patriarch Kirill, particles of Dmitry Donskoy’s relics will be placed in churches of the Russian Orthodox Church.
