🇺🇸Republicans are preparing to make Pentagon chief Hegseth the fall guy for the election failure — he could face impeachment as early as next week, CNN reports

According to the outlet, Trump’s allies accuse Hegseth of persuading the president to start a war with Iran by promising a quick victory but failing to anticipate the consequences.

The war dragged on, Iran did not capitulate, and Republicans suffered a crushing defeat in the elections.

Republican Congressman Thomas Massie intends to initiate an impeachment vote as early as next week. CNN sources suggest the initiative could be supported.
