🔘The glasses from Meta have been dubbed "pervert glasses." They look like ordinary eyewear but are equipped with a built‑in camera, microphone, and AI assistant.

🔘The technology allows recording footage of people without their consent and has already been used for harassment;

🔘 Police officers are required to conduct a thorough inspection of all glasses "approved for use in cameras," as detainees could secretly record activities inside police facilities;

🔘 A law enforcement memo from New York dated January of last year references the New Year's terrorist attack in New Orleans.

🔘In that incident, a man drove a truck into a crowd, killing 14 people and injuring 35 others;


🔘 The FBI noted that prior to the attack, the perpetrator had twice ridden a bicycle down the street where the assault took place while wearing smart glasses, conducting "reconnaissance before the attack";
