💻 At the Qualcomm Snapdragon Summit in Hawaii, Microsoft announced the Surface Pro 12" (Gen2) and Surface Laptop 13" (Gen2). Both feature Snapdragon X2 Plus processors, 500-nit displays, improved battery life, and retained previous-generation designs. Color options include Black, Platinum, and Violet (Ocean Blue is discontinued).

Hardware specs:
- Processor: Snapdragon X2 Plus (6-core) with 80 TOPS Qualcomm Hexagon NPU.
- RAM: 16GB or 24GB LPDDR5x (no 8GB models).
- Storage: 256GB or 512GB UFS.
- Display: Surface Pro 12" (2196×1464, 220 PPI, up to 90Hz); Surface Laptop 13" (1920×1280, 178 PPI, up to 60Hz). Both reach 500 nits.
- Battery: Up to 15.5 hours (Pro 12") and 22.5 hours (Laptop 13").
- Ports: Pro 12" has two USB-C 3.2; Laptop 13" has two USB-C 3.2, one USB-A 3.2, and a 3.5mm jack.
- Connectivity: A 5G-enabled Surface Pro 12" model is for business customers (details pending).

The Surface Pro 12" includes the new AI-powered Microsoft Ink Canvas app, available on the Microsoft Store from October 13. Devices go on sale October 13:
