π Firefox 154 adds several updates for users and developers. It expands Local Network Access protections to WebSocket connections, which adds a confirmation prompt when sites try to reach devices on local networks. Mozilla also introduced Smart Window AI support for grouping tabs and naming those groups. The browser now lets users undo cookie and site data cleanup for selected sites while keeping tracking protections in place.
Other updates improve translation, PDF viewing, and video playback. Firefox now translates iframe content, identifies page language during load, and speeds up seeking in videos. The built in PDF viewer now highlights selected text like a web page. Firefox also clears favicon thumbnail cache during forced reloads.
For developers, Firefox adds CSS properties for text box spacing, new sibling based CSS functions, a time input UI, No-Vary-Search header support, and new Iterator methods. The JSON Viewer also now shows the full path to the selected item.
