๐ Microsoft Edge 152 is now rolling out with a mix of improvements and policy updates. The biggest platform shift is the gradual deprecation of the unload event, which will stop firing by default on more pages over the next few versions to improve reliability and back/forward navigation speed.
Microsoft is also tightening notification safety by automatically unsubscribing users from malicious sites flagged by SmartScreen.
Other updates include Apple account sign-in on Windows and macOS, a richer password/key icon panel with copy and notes options, and the end of live video translation.
For admins, Edge adds new policies for Copilot Cowork actions and video transcription, clarifies the WebView2 downgrade policy, and changes the removal timeline for a local network access policy.
The Drop feature is also gone in version 152.
