💻 Microsoft unveiled the Surface Laptop Ultra in San Francisco, with preorders open now and sales beginning October 16, 2026 at $2,599. First announced at Computex 2026, the flagship laptop features a 15-inch mini-LED display, a haptic touchpad, an 18-core RTX Spark processor, 24 GB of RAM, and three USB-C ports. Microsoft says the base model is better for video editing, big data processing, 3D modeling, and light gaming than for heavy local AI development. A standout feature is the world’s first magnetic USB-C port, designed to disconnect safely if the cable is tugged while still functioning as a standard USB-C connection for accessories. At the top end, Microsoft will offer a $5,899 version with a 20-core processor, 128 GB of RAM, and a 1 TB SSD, making it the most powerful and expensive Surface device yet.
