Terms of Service
Effective date: April 18, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the OpenTG platform operated at opentg.ai ("Service"), provided by OpenTG ("we", "us", "our"). Please read these Terms carefully before using the Service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, browsing, or using the Service in any way, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms, and the organisation agrees to be bound accordingly.
By adding the OpenTG bot to a Telegram channel, you confirm that you are an authorised administrator of that channel and that the channel and its content are subject to these Terms.
2. Description of Service
OpenTG is a platform that mirrors public Telegram channel content to the open web. The Service includes:
- A Telegram bot that ingests content from connected channels.
- Publicly accessible web pages that display channel posts.
- Search engine optimisation (SEO) and generative engine optimisation (GEO) indexing of channel content.
- Analytics and insights for channel administrators (where available).
The Service is provided on an "as-is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee any specific level of uptime, availability, or performance. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Service at any time, with reasonable notice where practicable.
3. Account Registration and Security
To use certain features of the Service, you must register a channel through our Telegram bot. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to keep your account information current.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account and for maintaining the security of your Telegram account and bot access. You must notify us immediately at support@opentg.ai if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account.
4. Subscriptions, Billing, and Cancellation
The Service offers multiple subscription tiers (Free, Creator, and Pro), each with different features and limits as described on our pricing page and Content Policy.
- Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually, depending on the plan selected.
- All fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law or as expressly stated in these Terms.
- You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, after which your account will revert to the Free tier and applicable limits will be enforced.
- We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' notice to active subscribers. Continued use of a paid plan after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
5. User Content and Intellectual Property
You retain all ownership rights to the content you publish on Telegram ("User Content"). By connecting a channel to OpenTG, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to cache, render, index, and distribute your User Content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Service.
You represent and warrant that you have the right to grant this licence — that is, you are the channel administrator or have authorisation from the channel owner to connect the channel to the Service.
The OpenTG platform — including its code, branding, design, and all original content — is the exclusive intellectual property of OpenTG. Scraping, reproducing, or redistributing the platform (as distinct from the underlying Telegram content) is prohibited without our prior written consent.
6. Prohibited Conduct
You must not use the Service to:
- Publish or distribute illegal content, child sexual abuse material, malware, or phishing links.
- Engage in spam, impersonation, or coordinated inauthentic behaviour.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the platform or its infrastructure.
- Circumvent subscription tier limits or access controls.
- Use AI-powered features of the Service to generate content that violates applicable law.
- Publish content that infringes third-party copyright, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights.
Violation of this section may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without notice or refund.
7. External Links and Outbound Safety
Channel content may contain links to third-party websites. Outbound links within indexed content are routed through an interstitial page that warns users before they leave OpenTG.
We are not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of any third-party websites reached via these links. You, as the channel owner, are responsible for any dangerous, misleading, or illegal URLs present in your Telegram channel content that is indexed by the Service.
8. Content Moderation and Takedowns
We reserve the right to remove, hide, or de-index any content that violates these Terms, our Content Policy, or applicable law. Moderation decisions are at our sole discretion.
- Copyright takedown requests (DMCA or equivalent) should be submitted to support@opentg.ai with sufficient identifying information.
- Repeat copyright infringers will have their accounts terminated.
- Channels with consistently harmful or non-compliant content may be permanently removed without refund.
- Anyone may report a post or channel for review. Content under review may be temporarily hidden pending a moderation decision.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as-is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Without limiting the foregoing:
- We do not warrant that the Service will improve your search engine rankings or visibility in AI-powered search results. SEO and GEO outcomes depend on third-party crawlers, algorithms, and systems outside our control.
- We do not guarantee that indexed content will remain accessible, rank in any particular position, or be cited by any AI system.
- We are not responsible for any loss of data, revenue, or business arising from the use or inability to use the Service.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, OpenTG's total aggregate liability for any claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the total amount you paid to OpenTG in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
In no event shall OpenTG be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, regardless of whether we were advised of the possibility of such damages.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability shall be limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless OpenTG, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:
- Your User Content or your use of the Service.
- Your violation of these Terms.
- Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time by posting the revised version on this page with a new effective date. For material changes, we will provide at least seven (7) days' notice to active subscribers via email or in-app notification.
Your continued use of the Service after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you should discontinue use of the Service before the updated Terms take effect.
