🇺🇸🌚Cyberattack Compromises Data of Millions of U.S. Military Personnel
➡️Personal information belonging to approximately 2.8 million current U.S. military personnel and nearly 300,000 deceased Americans was stolen in a cyberattack targeting the Pentagon's information system.
➡️Between September 2023 and June 2024, unauthorized actors exploited a security vulnerability to access sensitive data, including Social Security numbers, full names, dates of birth, and military service records.
➡️The Pentagon has reported that no evidence of misuse of the compromised information has been identified to date; however, the identity of the perpetrators remains undetermined.
