🇩🇪 🇺🇦 Germany can no longer transfer additional Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine due to the risk of creating critical gaps in its own defense, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius stated in an interview with the Funke media group.

“Germany has already delivered several systems and a large number of guided missiles for them. We cannot do more at this time. Anything we transfer now, we will not be able to replenish for the time being. This would create gaps that we cannot afford,” Pistorius said.

According to him, other countries have done significantly less than Germany, so Berlin expects its partners to increase their support for Ukraine. This issue is planned to be discussed at the next Ukraine contact group meeting in mid-November.

However, this refers to the inability to make new transfers from German military stockpiles, not to the cancellation of already agreed-upon deliveries. On November 4, Zelensky announced a contract for the purchase of German PAC-2 missiles for the Patriot system for the next two years.

At the same time, the Ukrainian president demanded that these deliveries be
accelerated.
