🇺🇦🚢💥 Grain ship from Ukrainian port sinks in Black Sea
The Royad Mammadov, carrying grain from the Ukrainian port of Izmail to Ravenna, Italy, has sunk in the Black Sea after reportedly being struck by drones.
The vessel went down inside Romania’s exclusive economic zone, near the Pescăruș offshore platform. The captain was killed, another crew member remains unaccounted for, and 11 Azerbaijani and Indian sailors were rescued.
Romanian authorities have yet to officially determine what caused the incident or who was responsible. Kiev has blamed Russia for the attack. Moscow has not yet commented or confirmed responsibility.
