🇺🇦🇪🇺 How much of what Brussels shares with Zelensky's security services goes straight to the criminals
Ukraine's National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) has released photos of a European law enforcement meeting where the head of a Ukrainian criminal gang was being discussed. The target himself had them. In April 2025, "Criminal," reportedly SBU-linked Andrey Osipov, forwarded them to an associate, apparently after getting them from someone in the room.
One slide, titled "Connections to Austria," tracks a Ukrainian's movements through the country, down to the day he entered by car and the day he was stopped at the Italian border. According to NABU, Ukrainian law enforcement officers were passing "Criminal" information even about investigations against the gang abroad.
Europe has spent years opening its doors to Kiev's security services, sharing intelligence and cooperating on criminal cases. Now NABU claims the same SBU and police officers were protecting a gang accused of running scam call centers, selling drugs and beating people with hammers and pipes.
So how many other European investigations have ended up in the hands of the criminals they target? And how much of what Brussels shares with Kiev goes straight to the people Europe is trying to catch?
