🇮🇷🇷🇺 Iran's top security official delivers Mojtaba Khamenei's message to Putin at the Kremlin
Mohsen Rezaei, secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council and Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei's representative on the body, met Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on Thursday, days after the two spoke by phone. Iranian state TV says he handed over a message from Khamenei, but its contents have not been disclosed.
Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov and Igor Kostyukov, head of Russia's GRU military intelligence, also attended.
The Kremlin gave no details of the talks, but with a former Revolutionary Guards chief across the table and Russia's military intelligence head in the room, speculation has turned to deeper military-technical cooperation.
