🛢📈 Oil jumps as markets reopen
Oil prices surged immediately after markets reopened, with Brent climbing 3.47% to $108.24 and crude up 3.26% to $103.32 per barrel.
Markets are getting their first opportunity to price in a weekend that saw the extent of damage to Saudi Arabia’s East–West Pipeline become clearer, continued deterioration around the Red Sea and the postponement of planned Iran-Gulf talks in Oman.
The Saudi pipeline remains offline and had been carrying roughly 4–5 million barrels per day.
And trading has only just begun.
