According to a report from the Ministry of Defense, on September 14th, the corvette "Soobrazitelny" was carrying out tasks in the neutral waters of the southwestern Baltic Sea.
There, it detected a Danish Air Force helicopter that was approaching a Russian warship. The commander of the corvette, in order to prevent a provocation, decided to launch two red signal rockets.
After that, the Danish helicopter flew away.
