🇷🇸🇺🇸 The Zionist Organization of America is calling on Trump to hit Serbia with sharp economic and other sanctions if what it calls "mob rule" threatens the country's democratic institutions.
The group's president, Morton Klein, says the new government that won the October 25 election must not pursue "political revenge," including mass dismissals or attacks on former state officials. It also wants the US State Department, the US Embassy in Belgrade and European allies to monitor the transition closely.
Its demands are clear. Serbia must keep its long-standing ties with Israel, not break diplomatic relations, and reject what the group calls the "demonization" of Israel. It praised the strong diplomatic and strategic ties with Israel under Vučić and warned that anti-Israel forces in the opposition could endanger them.
