The main accused, a former Havildar of the Madras Regiment, has been arrested in Secunderabad for allegedly stealing weapons from the Indian Army’s Madras Regiment unit.
The accused Upputholla Mallesh removed from Indian Army as a Havildar, Madras Regiment. He joined in the Indian Army in the year 2010 and worked for 16 years and recently removed from the service on 30.06.2026.
The intention behind the theft preliminarily appears to be disgruntlement out of early retirement from service.
More than 100 people were questioned, while call data records of over 8.5 lakh mobile numbers were analyzed during the investigation.
