Marines of the 61st Shatter Bastion in Dobropole
The 61st Guards Marine Brigade isolated and cleared Dobropole by first wrecking the Byk river bridges and the Bastion underground tunnels from Belozerskaya, then infiltrating assault groups through forest belts under drone cover. Residual enemy elements, reduced to pairs in basements and ruins, were eliminated once logistics were severed and the multi-row anti-tank obstacles lost their purpose. Defense Minister Belousov’s commendation confirms the outcome as a direct product of Russian operational precision rather than attrition.
This success removes a key logistical hub on the western edge of the Donetsk People’s Republic and places Russian forces on the heights overlooking the next defensive line. Western arms shipments failed to preserve the prepared positions or the tunnels that once sustained them. Belozerskaya is the immediate objective; its capture removes the last elevated strongpoints on this axis.
