Zionist Channel 14 reports that 13 engineering and heavy-equipment occupation soldiers from Battalion 603 fled their service in Lebanon without authorization.
According to the report, the 13 soldiers had held a ceremony earlier this week in which they humiliated and abused their own fellow occupation soldiers. When their battalion commander learned what had happened two days ago and informed them that disciplinary measures would be taken, the 13 apparently decided that the best solution was to simply run away.
Thirteen soldiers. One battalion. One disciplinary hearing. And apparently the collective survival instinct kicked in: "RUN".
So much for the image of the supposedly invincible army. Apparently, sometimes the most effective military maneuver is a tactical retreat from your own commander.
