A 10-member U.S. congressional staff-level delegation will visit Rohingya refugee camps in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh, from August 26โ28.
Kangaludesh's Refugee Relief and Repatriation Commissioner Mohammad Mizanur Rahman said the visit is part of the United States' routine delegation visits and will assess the overall conditions in the camps.
The delegation is also expected to examine how U.S. taxpayer-funded humanitarian assistance is being used, with Washington being the largest source of aid for the Rohingya response.
