Police shot dead Arvind Singh after an hours-long standoff. He had killed his wife and two pujaris before barricading himself inside with his three children.
Singh then shot his own son, who later died. The remaining children were rescued.
Police said the killings began after Singh objected to a puja being held at his home in connection with his late brother. His family had reportedly arranged the ritual amid concerns over his aggressive behaviour.
