🚨 Cow regarded as ‘mother of the world’: Gandhinagar court sentences three to life

A Gandhinagar court has sentenced three men from Ahmedabad to life imprisonment in a cow slaughter case involving 277 kg of meat, confirmed to be beef.

The court cited Manusmriti and Hindu scriptures in its order, describing the cow as the “mother of the world”. The convicts were also fined ₹3 lakh under the Gujarat Animal Preservation Act.
