🇮🇳 India–New Zealand Free Trade Agreement comes into force on October 20, 2026.

The landmark trade deal gives 100% duty-free access to Indian exports entering New Zealand, benefiting sectors such as textiles, leather, footwear, engineering goods and processed foods.

🇳🇿 New Zealand has committed to facilitate $20 billion in investment into India over 15 years.

The agreement also introduces new work-visa pathways for up to 5,000 Indian professionals at a time, alongside expanded opportunities for students.

India has protected sensitive sectors, including dairy, while allowing limited preferential access for certain New Zealand agricultural products.

Both countries aim to double bilateral trade in goods and services to NZ$7 billion by 2030.
