Indiaโ€™s Ministry of Home Affairs has informed a parliamentary panel that active FCRA-registered NGOs dropped from 29,022 to 14,466 over a decade ago.

Foreign inflows surged to โ‚น22,974 crore in 2024โ€“25, with the US contributing โ‚น12,113 crore (53%). Religious uses drew โ‚น1,841 crore (8%), with just over 1% allocated to Muslim organizations.
