Mamata Banerjee’s Party Gets New Name and Symbol
The Election Commission has allotted Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress the name “Mamata All India Trinamool Congress” and the “Football Player” symbol.
The party will be recognised in West Bengal, Meghalaya and Tripura, according to the ECI. The decision follows the commission’s latest review of the party’s status and electoral identity.
