๐จ No Indian University in Asiaโs Top 50 for Second Consecutive Year: IITs and IISc Slip Further in QS Rankings
India has failed to secure a single place in the top 50 of the QS Asia University Rankings 2027 for the second consecutive year. IIT Delhi remains the countryโs highest-ranked institution at 66th, followed by IISc Bengaluru at 79th and IIT Bombay at 83rd.
IIT Madras, IIT Kharagpur and IIT Kanpur also witnessed declines. Despite Indiaโs representation increasing to 325 universities, the rankings highlight a persistent gap in research impact, academic reputation and internationalisation.
