Saudi Arabia has announced the discovery of an estimated 110 million tonnes of ore containing uranium concentrations and rare-earth minerals in the Medina region.

The announcement was made at the IAEA conference in Vienna as Riyadh advances its civilian nuclear-energy ambitions. The figure refers to ore, not pure uranium.
