The China–Nepal Rasuwagadhi border crossing has been virtually erased by the catastrophic flash flood.

New satellite imagery comparing the site before and after the disaster shows the border facilities, roads and surrounding infrastructure largely swept away by rock, ice, mud and water.

The flood also destroyed the 42-km road connecting Betrawati to Rasuwagadhi and swept away several bridges, severely disrupting a major Nepal–China trade route.
