• The Fast Over Pakistan's Funds:

A major immediate trigger for Godse was Gandhi's January 1948 hunger strike.

One of Gandhi's demands was that the newly formed Indian government release ₹55 crore (Today ₹7,500 crore) in cash Assets to Pakistan, which India had withheld due to the outbreak of war in Kashmir.

Godse viewed this as a betrayal of India's national security.

"India and Pakistan were fighting their first war over Kashmir in late 1947 and early 1948"

At the exact same time, Gandhi went on a hunger strike, demanding that India immediately hand over ₹55 crore to Pakistan.

Irony Committed Suicide After This.
