Tibetan Youth Congress Members Detained During Xi Jinping’s BRICS Visit

More than 50 members of the Tibetan Youth Congress were detained by Delhi Police while protesting Chinese President Xi Jinping’s participation in the BRICS Summit in New Delhi.

The demonstrators also opposed his attendance at the official dinner and cultural performance hosted at Bharat Mandapam, highlighting continued tensions over China’s policies towards Tibet and its people.
