More than 50 members of the Tibetan Youth Congress were detained by Delhi Police while protesting Chinese President Xi Jinpingโ€™s participation in the BRICS Summit in New Delhi.

The demonstrators also opposed his attendance at the official dinner and cultural performance hosted at Bharat Mandapam, highlighting continued tensions over Chinaโ€™s policies towards Tibet and its people.
