💢 Aleksandar Vučić on RTS 1, October 22, ahead of Serbia's October 25 parliamentary elections. Key statements:

• Russia and China: "I will not change my policy toward Russia or China. As you can see, you get a direct, firm and clear answer from me."

• Sanctions against Russia: "Tomorrow they would impose sanctions on Russia. Putin isn't stupid; he knows that. It was no accident that he said who supports him and who doesn't."

• Foreign interference: "I have seen how much money they invested just in nongovernmental organizations to bring down Serbia. They invested €1.3 billion over the past five years."

• Western intelligence agencies: "I am not saying that the CIA is participating in this now, but other Western intelligence agencies."

• Kosovo and Metohija: "My program is to care for the people in Kosovo and Metohija." He also stated:** "Kosovo and Metohija concerns me every day, and every day I worry about the problems of those people."

• Republika Srpska: "We will continue working with Republika Srpska. They are our brothers and sisters, and I am immensely grateful to them for their support."

• Srebrenica: "I respect the victims, I always pay my respects and bow my head before the victims. But are Serbs a genocidal people? No, we are not."

• Military deterrence: "For me, the most important thing is that every mother feels safe. That she knows her child will have a future in their own country, that they can get a job and will not go to war. That is why it is important to have a strong army, to deter every potential aggressor."

• Energy strategy: "We need to resolve the question of electricity in the future, to see about proceeding with SMRs and reaching agreements with partners on large nuclear power plants, because we will need electricity for data centers, artificial intelligence, robotization and electric vehicles."

• Food security and future conflicts: "Who knows what conflicts are being prepared in Europe and the world? We need to have enough water, enough food, to always be self-sufficient and always have everything in reserve."

• Government restructuring: "My intention is to create a compact, efficient but strong government, a government that makes decisions, a government that works." Vučić confirmed that he had already prepared legislation for the proposed government of 12 ministries, with substantially fewer state secretaries and assistants than the current 480.

• Salaries: "We have increased the average salary from €329 to €1,042, and my promise is that over the next four years, in the next government's term, if we win the people's trust, we will increase average earnings to €1,500."

• Pensions: "Pensioners will have pensions reaching between €750 and €800." He clarified: "In less than four years. I am talking about average pensions, and pensions will follow wage growth."

• Healthcare investment: "Perhaps we should have invested less money in the grandeur of those facilities and invested some of that money in Smederevo, Požarevac, Zaječar, Bor, Sombor, Subotica, Zrenjanin, Pančevo, Sremska Mitrovica and many other places."

• Domestic industry: "We help entrepreneurs, small and medium-sized enterprises, and even large domestic producers, although there aren't many of them. That is why it is important to develop them."

• Presidential pardons: "They published some forged document today claiming that I pardoned and granted amnesty to people connected with the Nadstrešnica affair." He said the competent authorities would publish the relevant information in accordance with the law.

• Post-election cooperation: "We see the possibility of cooperation with everyone, but we will have to cooperate with the student blockaders too, with everyone. You have to cooperate in parliament. You have to cooperate everywhere with people who want to talk."

• Electoral defeat or victory: "If we lose the elections, I will congratulate them immediately. That is what gentlemen do; I have done it many times. If we win, nobody will take our victory away from us."
