💢 Algeria has severed diplomatic relations with the UAE, saying the move came “after exhausting all means” to preserve bilateral ties. Algiers did not publicly name a specific trigger.
Relations had deteriorated for years, with Algerian officials and media accusing Abu Dhabi of interference and attempts to destabilize the country. In February, Algeria began terminating its bilateral air-services agreement with the UAE.
The UAE has not yet publicly responded to the rupture.
