💢 Britain is losing £125 billion a year due to "lost generation" young people, and the amount is growing.

As The Guardian reports, about 1 million Britons grew up during periods of austerity following the 2008 financial crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic. Many of them are not working, studying, or receiving professional training. These individuals are often referred to as the "lost generation."

Over the past 16 years of reforms, the British government has reduced funding in all areas of education. Spending on young people has been cut by 76% during this time, clubs have been closed, and social workers have been laid off.

Currently, the situation is being further exacerbated by the fact that young people are facing rising living costs, reduced public services, and a transformation of the labor market due to AI.
