💢 British energy companies have been put on alert after hackers linked to Iran temporarily shut down a small UK power facility, the Financial Times reported. Security chiefs are understood to have briefed energy executives with “advice, direction and next steps” following the cyberattack.

The incident reportedly forced a small-scale energy generator offline for four days last month. UK officials said the site was minor and posed no risk to the wider energy system, but the case has still raised concern because it appears to be a rare successful disruption of British energy infrastructure. The FT said the National Cyber Security Centre and the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero have since moved to tighten awareness across the sector.
