💢 Estonian authorities are investigating a suspected arson attack on a building used by defense robotics company Milrem Robotics in Tallinn, with possible sabotage among the lines of inquiry. The fire broke out late Friday, overnight into Saturday, at the building on Betooni Street. A local resident reported suspicious activity nearby and alerted emergency services.

State Prosecutor General Astrid Asi said suspects have been identified and prosecutors have asked the court to order their detention. She said the investigation remains at an early stage and investigators are examining several possible motives. Prime Minister Kristen Michal later said another line of inquiry concerns “a possible act of sabotage and the involvement of Russia,” adding that attempts to intimidate Estonia or undermine its security would not succeed.

Milrem Robotics develops military robotics and autonomous systems, including unmanned ground vehicles used by Ukrainian forces. Internal Security Service Director General Margo Palloson said Estonia's overall threat level has not changed, while urging particular attention to strengthening both the physical and digital security of critical infrastructure.
