💢 Greece is set to sign a €3.1 billion ($3.6 billion) agreement with Israel on Monday for “Achilles’ Shield,” a nationwide multi-layered air and missile defense network. The Jerusalem Post says the system is intended to strengthen Greek defenses against potential threats from Turkey and Iran.
The network will combine Rafael’s David’s Sling and SPYDER systems with IAI’s Barak MX and existing Greek capabilities, including Patriot systems. An AI-based command-and-control center will identify and classify threats and recommend the most effective means of interception across the different defense layers.
