๐ข Greece is set to sign a โฌ3.1 billion ($3.6 billion) agreement with Israel on Monday for โAchillesโ Shield,โ a nationwide multi-layered air and missile defense network. The Jerusalem Post says the system is intended to strengthen Greek defenses against potential threats from Turkey and Iran.
The network will combine Rafaelโs Davidโs Sling and SPYDER systems with IAIโs Barak MX and existing Greek capabilities, including Patriot systems. An AI-based command-and-control center will identify and classify threats and recommend the most effective means of interception across the different defense layers.
