๐ข The US rejected a request from Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for Washington to lead a new military campaign against the Houthis in Yemen, according to Kan News Arab affairs correspondent Roi Kais.
Citing a source in anti-Houthi forces in Yemen who is in contact with the Americans, Kais reported that bin Salman made the request during a mid-August meeting with US Central Command chief Adm. Brad Cooper. Washington said it was prepared to support a Saudi operation, but would not lead it.
